Question by seven: termites/carpenter ants in tree?
tree was cut down and stump was grinded. the grinded stump residue/pieces are still on the lawn. will the termites/carpenter ants still be around there?

Yes they will still be around. They don’t go away when you take away their food. They move to a new food source, like your house, and go back to chomping away.
